REVIEW FROM 2ND ANNUAL CONGRESS TETADIESSE

This event began on Thursday August 8th 2024. Members of the family arrived safely and salutations were made immediately. Some discovered the family compound for their very first time while others just revisited their home. Some mothers immediately went to the kitchen to make food for the family to eat, then we all observed siesta 

Later in the evening we all had dinner and went to bed, that ended day 1 of the 4 days meeting. 

DAY 2

We were all separated in different groups with each in charge of a certain task in order to help tidy up the compound, some were incharge of mopping, others in charge of washing the dishes, then we had breakfast and rested.

Later in the day we all ate launch, the evening came and we participated in the 1st session of the meeting. A few points were put in place with the Head of family presence and active participation. We ended the meeting beside the fireside outside with the help of roasted corn and plum.

Day 3

Day 3 which was a Saturday, was busier than the previous days. After the morning routine of cleaning, the was a meeting with members of the chief’s council. Only the head of the family participated in this meeting as it is not open to everyone.

After which we all had breakfast. The younger generation (grand kids) decided to go on an excursion, accompanied by an older aunt, they went to sacred waterfall called « Vac Vac ». It is a waterfall found in the west region in a village called Chegne (where the meeting took place). After that was a great feast, the meeting took place first with every member present, final points were made as this happens just once a year meaning we were not coming back to this till next year. after the meeting we all assembled around a buffet after that the danse floor was open. It was an occassion for everyone to potray his or her talents. We discovered that we were blessed with quite a lot, dansing, singing, playing of trumpets and many more.

Day 4

This was the last day, nothing much was done. Cleaning in order to keep the environment neat when leaving, breakfast. We had one last meeting to get everyone’s point of view concerning the organisation and if anyone had any objections. Everyone was happy to be present in this gathering as it was an opportunity to see new faces. After that the floor was open to the eldest in the house Papa Fopoussi Jean-Paul, to give his blessings and words of encouragement. Then the family head Papa Kamgaing Darios, gave his own blessings to conclude the meeting then we all separated to our various destinations. 

Not forgetting the Chef who took of meals throughout our stay, you can see him alighting the meals he made with the help of some family maembers.
